Hi,
I am looking for thoughts and experiences with emoji in tag name (a -solved tag)
Emoji do give the tags a pop and increase their visibility.
Entering of tags will not need to add the emoji- the text itself is enough.
My question is if anyone has good or less good experiences with it.
I think of side effects in search …
In my opinion, having one
emoji in a title makes it stand out the most unless it’s over used, for example, look at my community announcements: only the unlisted (Halloween is over) topic has an emoji making it stand out.
However - your choice, it just looks weird as tags are meant to be text to add more info to a topic.

Take a look at tag icons:
This component allows tags to have an icon next to the tag label. Here is an example of how this would look, with tag style set to the default (simple):

Here is how this looks with tag style set to box:

Configuration is pretty straightforward:

See also the Category Icons component, which does the same thing for categories.

Install this theme component
The benefit being that it adds visual pop without requiring the user to use emoji to use them.
