Tried to type something with a line that ends with a colon. After doing so, the emoji autocomplete modal would pop up continuously. The only way to fix it was to add a space after the colon.

I got this issue on meta today too, with the emoji pop up hanging around over the editor.

on the iPhone (when entered via the native emoji) inserts an extra girl symbol, tiny edge case there that still needs dealing with.
