As the subject says, when a profile bio has external links, it doesn’t follow the account setting Open all external links in a new tab. Perhaps it is intended to be this way, but the setting does say ‘all’ and we got this pointed out to us.
This affects both user cards as well as profile pages.
similar issue over here, I adjusted the setting to make sure external links open in a new tab, but didnt see a change in behavior of the website. In my case external link on a topic (category introduction topic)
