Forum not loading / loading slowly after rebuild

My Discourse forum encountered this issue a few days ago. Today I tried to re build using ./launcher rebuild app. After doing this several users report that the forum will not load/is extremely slow. I’m hosting with digital Ocean. What can I do?

Slow as in slow to use or Slow as in loads slow for the first time?

Everything is slow, from opening the forum, to clicking on topics/categories

I wasn’t able to load into the admin dashboard all together.

Do You see any errors in YourForum.com/logs ?
Or anything failing to load in F12?

Have you upgraded from /admin/upgrade after rebuild?

I see three suspects here:

1. A Discourse plugin is causing issues
2. A Browser extension is causing issues
3. Your message bus is timing out.

The third one could be the most probable reason for sluggish experience but other two can’t be ignored either.

What is the chance that you’re using cloudflare here?

When was your last upgrade? How big is your database? The pg12 upgrade can slow things down for a while but some older upgrades also cause all images to be reprocessed.

Reply to @itsbhanusharma - I don’t think it’s the first 2. For 3, how can I stop a timeout? I do not use cloudflare.

For @pfaffman - I’m on 2.6.0.beta1. When I click preform upgrades, the site crashes.
