Just asking before I start digging more. Can a Friendica user follow a Discourse actor? Well, dumb question, because I know it isn’t working, but is it expected and the plugin isn’t in that phase yet?

It is propably different issue. Friendica can’t even find Discourse actors. BTW, I could follow @news@forum.internet-czas-dzialac.pl from my Mastodon instance.

Can your Friendica instance find the @news@forum.internet-czas-dzialac.pl actor?

No, it can’t. But again, Friendica can’t find anything from Discourse AFAIK.
