Hosting image on own domain or on a domain with CORS

I’m trying out the stackblur background theme component:

And I think I’m stumbling on this part:

First time I hear about CORS, google tells me imgur.com supports it, so I uploaded a photo, got the link and tried it in the theme component, but no joy. Guess it wasn’t that simple!

What’s the easiest way to host an image compatible with CORS? Or is it easier to host on my own domain? Does Discouse support this?

That theme component hasn’t been updated for a while and the Discourse theme system has changed a lot since it was released. I would not recommend that you use it.

I’ve moved it to the #theme:broken-theme category to prevent any further confusion.

If you have more questions about CORS that relate to Discourse, please feel free to create another topic for that.
