How are we all feeling about ChatGPT and other LLMs and how they'll impact forums?

Imagine having one on reddit that simply copies and pastes the answer to the exact same three questions that get asked 24/7 on every particular subreddit? The time saved would be astronomical

Hmm, maybe this plugin is similar?

Perhaps you’re already familiar with it, but Discourse kind of does this already. When you start a topic, it automatically returns search results based on what you are describing.

The next stage of solving that problem would be helping the user describe their problem more accurately. This is where I think LLMs could provide simple feedback like “you might get better help if you include a code snippet that shows what you have done so far”. Perhps this could even be a followup PM to the user if their topic has no replies after a few days.

I can see as being AI being a “helper” when your writing out a new topic or reply

Assumption would be to have specific LLM prompt based rules perhaps through custom personas. Something to think about for sure and perhaps we could re-use the space from suggested topics when writing out new topics
