It’s been a while since I visited Meta.DIscourse and I recently got back and decided I wanted to change my display (ie, real) name, but couldn’t find a way to do that. Is it possible? Or was (is) requirements that we all use our real names here?

You can change your display name (just called name). Preferences → Account → scroll down to Name and change it.
