How do I grow my community?

I think we should put a pause on this discussion until you’ve done some reading. This isn’t how community building usually works, I’m afraid.

Once you know the basics, if you have specific questions we’d be happy to help.

You still haven’t clarified why people would do that in your forum instead of somewhere else. It’s like with a restaurant. There are many; why do I choose yours? Is it the people that are there, the service, the food they offer? It’s the same with a forum. The place isn’t enough. It won’t make people join.

If you consult the dictionary, Corsair is an old word meaning pirates, robbers robbing ships in high seas. These ships belonged to organised corporates in those times, and the pirates robbed them.

You tell me : Should the internet world be controlled by big corporates ? And users be turned into products ?? Your answer will give a clue to further discussions.

By the way, open source is not always unsafe as the big corporations induce the fear inside the minds of the users.

I get your point. I need to work on this. Please understand that l’m a technically illiterate person.

It seems like this topic has run its course to me. @OS_Corsair, friendly reminder that this is a community mostly for support and other discussion surrounding Discourse. If you’re ready to have a more civilized or at least structured conversation feel free to open a new topic but I think this topic is not producing anything good.

There is already plenty of good advice in this thread, if you’re interested in growing your community I’d advise you to read what has already been discussed.
