How to embed into a static Wordpress page?

Is it possible to automatically embed the latest or selected posts?

I know Discourse can be embedded on a specific Wordpress post in a comment style forum. However, I’m wondering about a static Wordpress page. The closest I see is using RSS which would work, but it leaves out the users icon.

I’m looking for something like this…
