Con un foro pequeño (copias de seguridad de 500 MB), mi ./launcher rebuild falla en un disco de 50 GB por falta de espacio. Mientras intentaba averiguar qué más limpiar (apt autoremove y ./launcher cleanup no arrojaron nada), encontré varios cientos de megabytes de locales inútiles en /var/lib/docker/overlay2/.../merged/var/www/discourse/public/assets/locales.
Desafortunadamente, comencé a eliminarlos antes de tomar la captura de pantalla, pero aún se pueden ver muchos archivos JS duplicados aparentemente transpiled para el mismo idioma. ¿Se puede hacer algo en el código de Discourse para evitar eso? ¿Se utilizan los archivos .map para algo?
Además, mi foro solo usa inglés. ¿Cómo puedo excluir todos los demás idiomas?
El directorio /var/www/discourse/public dentro del contenedor no está montado en el host… así que estoy bastante seguro de que todos deberían ser descartados cada vez que ejecutas ./launcher rebuild app en una instalación estándar.
El servidor está ejecutando Discourse, efectivamente.
Ejecuté los comandos, encontré algunos errores sobre las configuraciones regionales y ahora la salida se detiene en FATAL: los archivos de la base de datos son incompatibles con el servidor. El directorio de datos fue inicializado por la versión 13 de PostgreSQL, que no es compatible con esta versión 15.12.
¿He borrado accidentalmente algún archivo de configuración regional importante? Aparentemente, en_US.UTF-8 se regeneró correctamente.

Sí, persistirán en ese caso. Pero forzamos las actualizaciones de la CLI al menos una vez cada 6 meses, así que no esperaría que fuera un gran problema.
Con respecto a las locales, estamos planeando hacer algunos cambios para que se compilen “justo a tiempo” cuando se soliciten por primera vez. Debería ser mucho más eficiente, ya que la mayoría de los sitios operan en un solo idioma.
El servidor tiene 2 GB de RAM. El espacio de intercambio está configurado en otros 2 GB.
Lo actualicé de Ubuntu 16 (lo sé) a 18 en el lugar, actualicé /var/discourse/containers/app.yml para que contenga la configuración de tres locales env, y ahora la migración de PostgreSQL de la v13 se realizó correctamente, y la última versión de Discourse parece estar funcionando bien en Ubuntu 18.
