I'm having issues sending DMs or channel messages in rapid succession

If you send the same message consecutively in a DM or channel, the new message will appear above the previous one. I don’t have the vocabulary to explain it in words, so I think it would be easier to understand if you watched the video.

Also, reloading it will fix it.

That’s not the case, but PM may be more common than DM.
In Japan, it’s called DM…

Nope, you’re good. DMs is for chat, PMs are the onss created by the ‘Message’ button on user cards.

I think that was also reported in Chat messages appearing in wrong order
Though, while that was a very busy chat, I noticed this recently too when I was the only one writing on my forum.

I see…

Also, my home internet connection is generally fast so this doesn’t happen often, but it happens a lot when it’s slow.

Could the speed of my internet connection be the cause?

How easy is it for you to reproduce? Are you able to trigger this on-demand?

Our internal implementation has a concept of message staging which is designed to avoid this issue, but somehow it is failing in your case.

In my environment, I can reproduce this issue easily by sending several messages in quick succession.

I just tested it again (while my internet is fast), and it happens less often compared to when my connection is slower — but it still happens.

The interval between each message is about 0.5 seconds when I’m typing quickly.
