The group chat feature is great. Nevertheless, an additional way to link a chat to a Discourse group - like with kategories - is much needed. As proposed (and closed) here:

Create chat channels connected to a group

This would be beneficial in our use case, as well…as we’d like to have special interest groups with the ability to chat even if most of their posts on the Forums itself is accessible to the rest of the larger community.

So the members of the chat are always and automagically synced with the Discourse group.
