Instagram onebox: play video in place rather than in new window

Instagram video posts open up in a new window (or on mobile, open up in Instagram). I’ve seen instances of video playing inline with content (crazy instagram clip thread), is there some way this can be implemented with the Discourse onebox?

In another forum that managed that it was possible with this JS:
