Integrate shared DataExplorer reports into the UI

I’d really like to see a better interface for non-admin users to view DataExplorer reports.

Currently, if moderators want to see reports I have made for them they have to go to the moderators group page and find the proper tab there.

Moreover, if I share with staff, then the reports won’t be seen uness they go to the staff group (my logic with sharing with staff is that since mods are staff that should trickle down their access).

The obvious place to put this is on the reports page. Or at the very least as its own page under the reports heading in the side bar:

The page would then list all of the reports that the user has access too.

This was also mentioned before here in the official data explorer thread.

I could see a new option shown in the user menu:

making it similar to what is seen in /g/admins. What do you think @awesomerobot?

Alternatively, perhaps the ability to scope sidebar sections to groups could be useful here too.

In my convo with the moderator that brought this up, I also thought that group based sidebars make a lot of sense. (outside the Data Explorer situation).

Putting a link in the user section would be a good compromise.

I think especially because the DE plugin is now bundled with core it makes sense. If no reports are shared with the individual, then the tab should probably not be there.

In case someone wants that now: Discourse Group Sidebar Menus

I am not sure about shared queries being in the profile. My invites are mine, my badges are mine, my preferences are mine - but the reports aren’t mine. They were shared with a group. It’s maybe a little similar to the group inboxes which are available where the personal inbox is, but there is no personal part for reports.

I like the idea of a place for all queries I am allowed to use, but I think I wouldn’t expect that in my profile.

Maybe a sidebar link which is only shown when at least one query was shared with a group the user is member of could work. “Reports” next to “groups” and “badges” which are also about the forum, not the user, could be a good fit.
