IS it ok to delete the locked topic after it is merged?

I merged a newly created topic (Topic B) into an exiting topic (Topic A) , and noticed Topic B is still visible but is locked. Can I delete Topic B, or will it mess up Topic A?

It will not mess anything up. That being said, keeping the second topic could help prevent more duplicates - the title might be different enough for users to see it when searching.
