We would like to send emails to all users when we announce something (a new topic in the “Announcement” category). Is that possible? I couldn’t find any settings that could help me configure that.
We are on a hosted plan and would like to get more visibility when we announce new events and releases. Thanks in advance!
Admin - User Preferences - add “Announcement” to
default categories watching
Do be careful to set permissions for that category so only you are able to post to it. If you allow replies to your announcements, I also recommend you actually choose the
default categories watching first post setting instead, so everyone is just emailed about the first post when you add an announcement topic, and not all the replies which could get annoying for folks.
