Is it really so important to add a user to the docker group while installing?

While installing, it prompt me to add a user. Why should I do that?

You really don’t need to mess with this usually.
You should really be doing it only if you know what you’re doing and have a strong reason to run discourse under some different user.

Ps: You need to have that user account already existing on your server for this to work.
