Link that pre-populates the composer?

Hi,
I looked for a topic that requests the following and found this one, but I’m thinking there’s much more overhead with that.

What I want is to be able to link to our discourse forum site with parameters that will open up to a particular topic category, with the ‘Create a new Topic’ overlay pulled up, populated with some text.

EDIT: nevermind the ‘to a particular topic category’ portion of my request, as I see there is a route/slug that does that.

Is this possible?
