I have a user in my Discourse community who used to be able to login but is now unable to do so. They are able to login to their account on our WP site but when they come to the discourse and click “Login” the get the following error:
Login Error
There is a problem with your account. Please contact the site’s administrator.
Other users are able to login to the discourse community without a problem.
I think that perhaps the issue came from the user changing their username on one system or the other. (WP says “Usernames cannot be changed.” on their end)
I found a couple similar-ish posts but they didn’t have a solution for my issue.
The first thing you need to do is enable the verbose sso logging Site Setting and have the user try logging in again. There should be some information in the logs that tells you what the problem is.
