Notification avatar of user shows system, not replied user

I just saw this, it’s probably not intended.
Oga just replied to my post in this topic, and you would expect the notification to show their avatar, but instead I saw this:

Isn’t that @system’s avatar?

Pretty sure it’s at least somewhat intended, it’s what happens then there’s >1 reply at once that you need a notification for (Note the 2 replies text)

Yeah this would make the most sense, where if there were 2+ replies/likes/etc it would show the site logo, as it wouldn’t be too ideal if the site had to choose one avatar to show :joy:

Oh, forgot to mention: both replies were by the same user.

Even still, there isn’t a differentiation between two by the same person and two by different people.

This issue still persists on 3.5.1, anyone has a workaround for this?

A more graceful alternative would be to show 2-3 avatars overlapping of the actual users of the most recent replies.

As said above, this isnt an issue but the intended design. Showing overlapping avatars on some notifications, would mess up the alignment and uniformity of the panel, but of course nothing is stopping you from changing the behaviour with a custom component or plugin.
