Project: Looking to take the “infinite scrolling” on images in the discourse platform and change it into a list format with pages, more similar to a “booru” style website. Have options to display 25/50/100 items per page (this feature could be cut if it’s too complicated). This could be accomplished through a plugin or a theme, but should be able to be plugged into existing discourse forums.
I’m unsure if the [PAID] tag is meant to indicate that the job has already been accepted, I assumed it meant that the work was paid work, if I’ve made this mistake erroneously let me make it clear that the listing is still open.
When viewing images so you can then click on them and view their individual pages it shows them in two ways, on mobile and on PC. On mobile it shows the images in a straight line that scrolls infinitely downward while on PC it shows ~3 lines of images that also scroll downward infinitely. What I’d like is instead of those images loading and scrolling infinitely they stop after after a certain amount of image or more specifically “page” previews and make that a “page” of it’s own where at the bottom it displays numbered pages 1,2,3,4…999. with each of these pages displaying image previews being numbered.
In more specific technical terms when doing a GET request for top images on that page it shows “top.json?order=created&page=1&per_page=50”, once you scroll far enough it loads “page=2” which causes another 50 images to load which can viewed in one continuous stream by scrolling down. I’d like to take those “Page=1/2/3” and rather than displaying them as a continous stream of previews it cuts it off at, say 50 and you have to click a “next” button to get the next 50 images to display.
I was basing my pricing off of the prices others have posted for work in this marketplace, which seemed to be around the range i was asking her from what I had seen. Is there a component to my request that makes it more costly? Tyvm for responding, it means a lot.
I’ve checked in with our pro services manager who says that it’s possible that you could find a non-CDCK dev who could hack together something which works like pagination for $300 so ignore me and don’t lose hope!
