Disabling the feature means they will no longer be able to log in using the passkey. Everything else stays the same.
Wondering if there’s any progress on supporting passkey-only sign ups with no password attached to the account? Would be a really excellent feature to have.
Here’s an example of the ideal sign up/login flow. Very smooth and a good user experience all around.

actually has a really good implementation where you don’t need to set a password at all on signup, if y’all need an example of a major service.

Saw that you can now remove the password from your account fully, amazing! Now just need the ability to sign up with passkeys, preferably with the option to avoid giving an email, and it’ll be perfect!
Good eye! Yes, thanks to @christo, we now have support for disabling/removing passwords per user account. We’re still ironing out some minor UI tweaks, but it is live and active.
This does indeed clear the road for adding sign up with passkeys. We will hopefully make some time to add that capability soon.
