I can’t understand it, I’m creating icon in Gimp. Adds transparency.

Windows and other programs have a good interpretation, but on the forum a white background is added to the image.

6 hours I get tired of it. What am I doing wrong ?..

Do you know if the image is a PNG or a JPG file after it has been uploaded? My guess is that it’s being converted to a JPG which will remove the transparency. If that’s the case, here’s what you can try:

Okay, I’ll check it out, but tell me why it’s happening. What is the intention of such conversion?

I tried with many pictures, even loaded very large ones on the whole screen and the problem still existed.

The idea is to cut down the file size whenever possible to reduce the impact on any storage limits.

Have you tried uploading an image with transparency after changing the setting I mentioned? If you are using the same image, it’s possible you may need to alter a pixel so the system does not see it as a duplicate and keep the converted version in favor of the PNG version (this was mentioned in the link I shared)

Bonjour, j’ai défini le paramètre de conversion PNG en JPG à 100 et j’ai édité la nouvelle version, mais je constate toujours une conversion en JPG. Avez-vous des suggestions ?

Je ne suis pas sûr, je pense que @jamie.wilson a travaillé là-dessus récemment ? Les paramètres devraient permettre de contrôler la conversion.

Dans mon expérience avec GIMP, vous devez configurer les paramètres d’exportation comme suit :

  • Désactiver « Enregistrer la couleur de fond »
  • Activer « Enregistrer le gamma »

Oui, la transparence est conservée lorsque je télécharge le fichier PNG. Le problème est que le fichier est toujours converti en JPG, qui ne prend pas en charge la transparence.

Oui, dans d’autres programmes. Mais si le fichier possède une propriété de fond, il sera converti en JPG. Si vous désactivez le fond, alors non. C’est juste mon expérience.

Édition : en fait, non. J’ai eu ce problème avec les transparences, mais je ne peux pas le reproduire maintenant. Ça marche toujours :man_shrugging:

J’ai identifié une situation où les PNG étaient convertis en JPEG même lorsque png_to_jpg_quality était défini sur 100, et j’ai fusionné une correction à l’instant. J’espère que cela résout le problème que vous avez rencontré.

Pouvez-vous mettre à jour votre instance Discourse et nous dire si le problème est résolu ?
