Rebuild fails on db:migrate "relation "form_templates" already exists"

Discourse rebuild is failing. Here is log.

What is best way to resolve it? We have Postgres hosted on RDS and run discourse with official docker container method.

I tried to find plugins directory and here are the ones listed.

We did not install anything except themes.

Do you not have an app.yml somewhere that’s what gets read when you do a rebuild?

But it looks like my idea isn’t going to explain anything.

I found app.yml. There are no extra plugins listed there. As I told I am certain I did not install anything except themes.

Here are steps we did which led to this issue.

tried to move all assets to S3 using rake uploads:migrate_to_s3
above command failed saying 155 out of 161 assets were not moved
we tried to restore to previous version by using “Rollback” on backup panel
entire site crashed. nothing is working.
when we tried to restore using command line, it says we are trying to restore while there are pending migrations
to run migrations, we tried to rebuild but it led to this error.

Hope it gives some idea. Btw, right now our entire deployment is broken. What is best way out of this? We have most recent backup taken to S3 before we started any of this.

The RDS backup panel? That’s probably where you went wrong.

If restoring the most recent backup is OK, then I think I’d create a new database, update app.yml with the new database name, make sure that the S3 settings for the backup are in the yml file, rebuild, restore.

Fresh DB + Fresh machine and restore on that worked well. Thanks for prompt response.
