Self Link previews not working for private site

Continuing the discussion from Self Link previews not showing for private sites?:

Hi.
I’m on the latest 1.8beta7 private instance and topic preview still is not working.

As I recall when @techapj looked at this, it had to do with a backslash at the end of the URL (or not), can you try that?

I actually already have that one on my :pencil:. I’ll have a look.

I tried all combinations:

/t/forum-vs-facebook/52
/t/forum-vs-facebook/52/
/t/forum-vs-facebook/52/1
/t/forum-vs-facebook/52/1/

no preview for all of them.

OK, then @zogstrip is on it, probably a regression, apologies.

I just tested this locally and oneboxing a login required forum does work. One caveat though: you cannot onebox topics in categories that are not public, because you could expose information to people who can’t see that stuff.
