i tried to search for a similiar topic, but couldn’t find one.
Anyway, i recently had the situation that i wanted to send an email to all users of my forum, to inform them about something important. This mail had to go through, so it had to ignore the users email settings.
The only way i found was, to go to each users profile and let me show his registered email address. Something i am not very fond of doing. I shouldn’t have to do this, even if it’s not a privacy concern, it is a morality one.
So, could there be a function that an Admin can send an custom email to a user / multiple users? Like over the actual discourse software, without the need to gather them all manually. Just select the users, type in the text and send the email.
And it should be able there to ignore the users email settings, when it is something important they should know regardless.
