Unknown system generated emails sent to my users

My users are receiving system generated emails from discourse. I am unaware of these, or the triggers that cause them. How and where do I find these emails on my discourse admin so I can manually disable or edit them?

Here is the draft of one of such emails we found:

Hey there. We see you’ve been busy reading, which is fantastic, so we’ve promoted you up a trust level!

We’re really glad you’re spending time with us and we’d love to know more about you. Take a moment to fill out your profile, or feel free to start a new topic.

We tried checking in the ‘sent’ email logs, but there is a loading error in these logs and we’re unable to check all sent emails.

I think these are notifications for the personal message send on trust level promotion

Thank you so much! I have successfully disabled this, but how do I find out which other emails are being sent to the user, if any?

Are you concerned about emails or about personal messages?

What is the problem you want to solve? Is it users being messaged, users receiving emails, or do you just want to customize these messages?

My concern is that my users are being emailed and maybe messaged as well, without my knowledge. I wish to do the below, but unable ot:

  1. identify which emails are being sent
  2. what’s the trigger for them
  3. how to disable them
    Can you please help?

You can take a look at the suggestions here:

But note that the email verification emails may not then send.

Users have a setting to receive no email for the activity summaries (under user > preferences > email).

Also, disable the activity summary emails, you can look at the disable digest emails site setting.

Emails are sent for many purposes: password reset, activity summary, PMs, chat messages, even replies to posts. I’m not sure if you can disable only certain things, though.
