Continuing the discussion from Are Moderated User Invites a thing?:
I like the idea to set up a waiting room for invited members so that they can only see one unrestricted category and then set up all the other categories to have the permissions to require users to belong to a certain group.
However, the problem becomes for each new category, we’d have to make sure the permissions are restricted to those groups and it could be a pain to make sure we didn’t accidentally make one unrestricted.
My friend asked if there were a way to set the default permissions for new categories and I had no idea.
Is it possible to do this? If not, any ideas on how to make something like that work?
