Hi. I’m trying to figure out how to set a Discourse category fixed sort order. Articles have been written about how to do this, but I can’t reproduce this. Has category fixed sort order been deprecated? Can someone point me to a how-to post or article?

You mean on the homepage?
Go to Settings. Search for “fixed category” and there should be two options you can check. Check at least the fixed category positions option. When you’re back on your homepage in the hamburger menu for the homepage there should be a new option “Reorder categories”.
