Yeah still makes sense for specific users who like mailing list mode. I wonder if we should just not even bother making this optional and just make mailing list mode more loud by default. You are opting for pain, ramp up the noise. We are disabling mailing list mode anyway by default on new install afaik.

but +1 this issue, 'cause we still hustle with question asking, “Where are my own Postings, didn’t got an email…”. E-Mail-apps still an issue in our community (non-techies with those specific circumstances ) an mailinglist mode is widely used.
It is still hard for us to reply to our users that in Mailinglist mode they won’t get all mails but there own mails. Even you can select it in the Mailing list mode
