Stop appending ?username to url when badge system disabled?

We had a request from teams alpha tester about the ?username that is appended when linking to discourse topics. They were confused about it and didn’t know what it’s for, and had been just removing that part of the link manually each time. They find this cumbersome and asked if it could be turned off.

This seems like a reasonable request if it’s easy to do - for private sites that will never be public, there will never be any utility because the badge will never be awarded, according to Simon. For public sites with private categories I am on the fence… posts will be moved around and if they land in a public category, they should contribute to link badges being awarded.

We will now stop appending the username parameter to share URLs when badges are disabled :+1:
