Subscription Plugin not working (Error)

Hello there, I’m trying to add the ability to membership our website / forum

When I go about installing the subscription plugin - I get this:

“error: Import Error: about.json does not exist, or is invalid. Are you sure this is a Discourse Theme?”

Any ideas?

The subscription plugin isn’t a theme, so you cannot install it like you install themes. You need to follow the install instructions which are linked in the table at the topic

Searching for the error message will show you some cases where others had the same problem
