I think it’s more that the Discourse team is so transparent and willing to engage with both customers and users in a very public space.

Whatever the reason, if people who become admins (i.e. the top 0.1% in terms of technical knowledge) are not always aware of this, what can we say about the people who are not admins?
Well, it wouldn’t make sense to ask the developers of other softwares to do so here on meta… And discourse already has a mission of educating users and becoming the #1 forum software, so it would make sense to make a good example and be even more transparent about how it works.
