This can be done today in a theme component if one wishes. I know 100% that @codinghorror would be 100% against, by default, popping up a JIT every time an admin hits the delete button.
A JIT on every delete would heavily discourage admins and mods from pruning the garden cause there is constant added friction.

Pop the composer filled with a DM to the person, official warning = yes.
(obviously the post itself would have a red background too from the moderator just now deleting it, I don’t have a test instance anymore to use for this!)
Unless we can include the original deleted message it’s not going to be particularly helpful.
Are we expecting the user to remember all of their posts in the topic and identify which was removed?
If it does include the original message then we’re still talking about rebranding delete as ‘move to PM’.
If it is a theme component that is fine but I would not ship this by default.
I also think that this added friction is not necessary and neither does it make sure that people get notified. There should be friction for not sending a notification, not the other way around.

La fricción será mucho mayor cuando los usuarios se den cuenta de que algunos de sus posts han sido eliminados. Y algunos inevitablemente se darán cuenta en algún momento. Entonces se preguntarán cuántos posts han sido eliminados. Se enfadarán, y especialmente se enfadarán al no haber sido ni siquiera informados. Este será el momento en que la supuesta “fricción” de los avisos amables parecerá, con perspectiva, una idea realmente buena 
Algunos comentarios de usuarios. Esto me acaba de ocurrir por primera vez. Fue en un hilo donde la publicación fue señalada por la comunidad y recibí una notificación sobre ese paso, pero cuando hice clic en el enlace de la notificación para ir a mi publicación, me llevó a la publicación que seguía a la mía. La mía desapareció y ahora el hilo carece de contexto. ¿Esto significa que un administrador eliminó un registro de la base de datos subyacente o que la interfaz permite este tipo de eliminaciones tan ambiguas? Gracias por cualquier respuesta.
Lo segundo. De eso trata este tema. Sin embargo, no se elimina ningún dato de la base de datos, por lo que tu publicación sigue “allí”, simplemente no se muestra.
