I’m looking for a way to unstage a staged user directly from the Admin UI? I might have missed the instructions some how but the only way I found was through the Rails console.
In the User’s admin page, the Staged? option just says “Yes” and no option to make a change. I tried activating the account but that also didn’t make any difference.
In my use case, I want to merge a number of staged accounts but it’s not possible to merge a staged account with another staged account because when searching for the account to merge the stage account, stage accounts don’t appear.
These account happen to be duplicate account that happened during the launch of he forum where a number of posts/users where imported from another platform. My idea since we have:
Mike1 (staged)
Mike2 (staged)
Mike3 (staged)
to merge them all to one “Mike” account.
This is important because I have about 900 staged accounts from that import and when ever I’m doing metrics, we need to subtract that number if we’re considering ‘total number of user accounts.’
Hi @denvergeeks
Thanks for your input. That doesn’t work in my situation because the staged users are from a launch import where the emails aren’t real accounts. They were exported from launchpad.net; for example, an email can appears like this “1655555@bugs.launchpad.net”
