The solution here is not to prevent tl0 or any other group editing posts.
The solution is to make it so that editing a post does not circumvent any site protections. An edited post could (as we have seen) contain spam, hate, or other undesired behaviours. If edited posts bypass Watched Words and other filters this will definitely become a standard approach not just for bots but for humans that want to circumvent site protections.
