What happens when you remove a social login provider?

If a forum has had a social login provider installed for a long time and wants to remove it, what happens to the users who were using that provider? Will they still be able to login, for instance by receiving an email?

Is there a way to list all the users who were using a social login provider?

If ‘local logins’ (i.e. username/password) logins are enabled, then they’ll be able to use the “reset password” button to receive a password-reset email and gain access to their account.

If you have other social login providers enabled, and users have the same email address on those services, then they can seamlessly login via another method.

This can be done using the data-explorer plugin:

Report number of users that have used each login method

Number of active users per login method Counts how many users have used each login method in the last 28 days.
