Without having to copy their entire text and then reply, just by clicking the reply button and having it automatically appear? Like in the picture?

This isn’t a default feature. Why would you want to do that, if I may ask? The original text is already available, so you would be doubling every post every time you reply?

Like this? It was moved under the the button on the composer with the plus sign, named “Quote whole post”.
It’s not automatic, and it’s even removed if you quote the whole post that is just above you.

There is a component which automatically quotes the post when you use the reply button. However, it does not currently support the rich text editor.

imagine a lot of replies to a long post.
My forum members have the habit/culture of seeing the text they’re replying to quoted in their posts. When nothing appears, they find it strange (and so do I).
Is there a way to make it appear automatically? I’ve seen that in some Discourse forums this happens automatically, how do they do it? They just click on reply and the quote already appears.
Wow, this component is perfect, but after installing it, nothing happened. I enabled it in my theme, but nothing is happening. Do I need to do something else?
It quotes the whole post when you click the reply button. Do you see that on your side? You might have to adjust the quick quote post location threshold setting if the reply is too recent (good advice from its creator).

Well, by default, a maximum of 400 characters are quoted and nothing is quoted when the reply is close to the post replied to. So I think it’s not that bad. And every administrator can decide for themselves what suits their community. I agree it may not be suitable for many, but for me that’s what theme components are for. Those who need something can use them.
Did you change any of the component settings? As Nate said, by default, it only works when you reply to a post where 3 posts are below. Do you use the Markdown mode of the composer?
Funny thing is, I activated the component, but it took a while to start working. Now everything is working fine
