Why are changes not syncing across devices on my forum?

When I make updates or changes on one device to my forum, they don’t seem to reflect across other devices. What could be causing this, and how can I ensure that updates sync properly?

I’d appreciate any tips or solutions to address this issue. Thanks!

What changes/updates? Adding/disabling/removing a theme component? Changing CSS? Site settings? Something else? Can you be more specific about the issue?

Also, did you reload the page on the other devices?

Any change you make on your Discourse forum should sync to other devices automatically.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind:

  1. If you’re adding custom CSS, make sure to add it under Common if you want it to work for both mobile and desktop.
  2. If you’re changing the theme just for your own account, it won’t affect other users’ themes unless you set it as the default.

To test this out, you can do a hard refresh on the other device or open an incognito tab, that usually fixes caching issues.

Most site settings should sync across devices. If they don’t, it’ll usually be mentioned somewhere in the settings.

Also, it’d help if you could share a bit more detail or even better, screenshots from both devices, so one can figure it out!
