Wish I could edit a user's full name from admin

(Allen - Watchman Monitoring) #1

Related to Change full name in profile:

At the moment, in order adjust many users to meet new requirements, I need to visit the Admin page to set a title, and the user’s page (as admin) to edit their full name.

I’d love to see Full Name on the admin page, and editable, please.

Why do new users need to click an extra button to Activate their account?
Why are email addresses hidden behind a "show" button in admin?
User's Name not displayed on profile?
How can I create a user with no posting privileges
User's Name not displayed on profile?
Error when trying to view an email from a user's preference page

Is there a reason not to allow this? I ask because having to juggle back forth is quite tedious.

Allow admins to change email addresses easily

Almost Fixed here for Discourse 1.4.

Also related… Adding the ability to send password reset emails from the admin page

And how we simply can’t see these settings if a user is de-activated

Would love never have to visit the user’s side again…

This request:

shouldn’t be so hard

Did this ever happen? I need to edit users’ full names. I can’t even edit my own full name! “Enable names” is enabled.

You can, edit it from your regular user page.

Why not in the admin side, where we already are?

Feel free to submit a PR if you wish to change it.
