Custom Predefined Suspension Reasons

AI-generated summary

The discussion is about Custom Predefined Suspension Reasons. markersocial requested the ability to modify or add suspension reasons to the user suspension modal. ondrej replied that admins can edit these reasons in admin -> customise -> text, and provided an example image. markersocial confirmed this solution works and noted the text option name to search is admin_js.admin.user.suspend_reasons.

However, Mollyvog is having trouble getting it to work, despite being able to edit the text. ondrej suggested that the issue might be due to a language mismatch between the forum locale and the language changed in the settings, and provided a table illustrating the expected results.

Would be a nice time saver if we could modify or add additional predefined suspension reasons to the user suspension modal. I believe it isn’t possible currently.

Hey there!

If you are an admin you can do to admin -> customise -> text and edit them. Example image example below. The red cross is the edited one.

Why not just choose ‘custom’ and type the reason out. I’m only saying this because you would have to type it out anyways to change the text.

Hey @ondrej Great, thanks - appreciate it!

Tested it out now and works perfect. I’ll be using this for frequently used suspension reasons, for speed and convenience.

For anyone else wondering, the text option name to search is:
admin_js.admin.user.suspend_reasons.

No worries! I should have specified this - sorry

Hello, this is not working for me, has anyone else gotten it to work? I can edit it but text doesn’t actually change when using it.

I think its something to do with the language. The forum locale/language has to match the language you change in the settings

eg.

Result
Forum language = UK When editing site texts choose UK language :white_check_mark:
Forum language = US When editing site texts you choose US language :cross_mark:
