How was Meta (discourse site) installed on my Windows PC as an app?

Today I opened meta and somehow got a prompt to install this site (i.e. Meta) on my Pc? I clicked ‘yes’ and it got installed in my windows pc as any other program (or as Chrome App). In the below SShot, background is showing chrome window and above it is floating newly installed Meta app.

Its shortcut appeared in my Start Menu> Chrome Apps. I just remember that I (99% sure) clicked on some icon on the far right corner of the url bar (just before the * for bookmarking sites). And then it also prompted me to accept a ‘User Agreement’ on my Preferences>Profile page.

Now my question is:2.

  1. If I deleted that shortcut from start menu, will it be gone for good, or I’ll be install it again same way?
  2. How can I give the same option to my own site users?

I believe, for Chrome, click the 3 dots at the top-right > Save and share > Install Discourse Meta.

I hope this helps!
