How to add a custom section to the sidebar?

Found this on discourse discover sites, it is a very cool idea for clear navigation designing, but I can’t find it here, is this a open source theme component? any help or support is appreciated.

Staff can build those public sections by themselves. It is part of functionality of the sidebar and no components is needed.

Hi @Rick_Jing You can create the sections by clicking the “+” button a the bottom of the sidebar. If you are an admin you can specify whether to allow everyone to see the section or just yourself.

I also have two theme components that can customize the usage of these sidebar sections including for which groups the custom sections are displayed for (links in my user card and profile).
