The discussion is about an Upgrade of postgres failed from 13 to 15. djeber initially reported the issue and shared a debug log. Heliosurge requested VPS specs, which djeber provided: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS and Docker Version 28.0.0. Heliosurge reviewed the log but couldn’t identify the issue. djeber mentioned trying a solution from a similar topic, but it didn’t work. pfaffman pointed out a networking/DNS issue, specifically a Temporary failure resolving 'deb.debian.org' error. djeber ultimately solved the problem, which was due to an iptables issue.

Can you post your VPS specs?
os version : Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
docker version : 28.0.0, build f9ced58
Was looking at your log. Unfortunately I couldn’t recognize anything myself. Need one of the much more experienced members
Thanks for sharing Ias and Docker version. Didn’t realize Docker version was in the log.
I was thinking maybe docker and IS needed upgrading but your up to date in those 2 at least.
Did you explore the topic linked in your log file?
i searched the forum and found a similar topic but the solution did not fix my problem
Temporary failure resolving 'deb.debian.org'
You have a networking/dns issue. It’s not able to resolve the host where it’s pulling the packages from.
thanks for pointing it out i solved the problem now, it was due to iptables issue
