Does Meta use it? I thought I saw @system tagging a topic a few days ago.

It might be a hassle to setup, but if Discourse is already generating embeddings (for semantic search) for new topics, you could probably generate embeddings for tag descriptions, then use semantic similarity to suggest tags for new topics, or auto-tag existing topics.

Yeah I ran it for a few days on Meta to get some more testing in… it works ok but without tag descriptions it was misusing how-to for some “how do I” type of questions and would apply moderation to posts where the word was used but moderation wasn’t entirely relevant to the topic.
