Hi, sorry to hear you are still having issues with this automation.
I’ve tested this again on my instance and it is working based on 2 separate user groups.
There are a few things that can be checked:

ensure the plugin is up to date - under
/admin/plugins
you can check the Data Explorer plugin in the list. It should link to the latest commit on the main branch - which is this commit at the time of writing. -
make sure the user you are testing with is in both the CommunityManagers group and SonarSourcers group.

manually test by using the
trigger automation
button within edit script -
turn off the Skip sending PM if there are no results
