I tried to do it on automation, but it didn’t work as expected. No PM was sent, but users were added to a group (via automation).
Is there a method or workaround to do it?

You could achieve that with the Custom Wizard Plugin 🧙 quite easily, but it would require a subscription.
Can you explain in more detail what you have tried? I’m guessing you are attempting to chain the Send pms and Add user to group through User Custom Field scripts.

I will get a subscription because I will use the features that the Custom Wizard Plugin has built in 
It’s good to know that it could be used for this kind of interactions. I’m trying to send a MP after automating the grant group to users via badges.
The workflow seems to be OK, but there are some inconsistencies related to how users were added to the groups.
Manually, it seems to be OK, but not automated or via SSO.
