Correct but i don’t see why we can’t have 2 options on the tag edit page - one for Meta Title and one for Meta description - same for categories. I can prove that we would be losing out on 100k+ uniques a month traffic wise, all discourse users would benefit from this and see a huge traffic increase…

I believe you but we have to take baby steps here. For this topic let’s work on identifying if there is a bug with the existing tag description functionality and try to get that fixed up.

Trisha123: Discourse doesn’t give full control over tag meta descriptions. If you add a description to a tag, it will be used as the meta description in the server-rendered HTML.
