The first Custom Top Nav link inappropriately appears selected

AI-generated summary

The Discourse theme component has an issue where the first custom top navigation link incorrectly appears selected, particularly on mobile. nathank details the problem, showing that the toggle link displays the label of the selected link (e.g., ‘Upcoming’ for the /latest list), even when it shouldn’t be selected. The Problem

The first custom top nav link appears to be selected; this is of course nonsense as it isn’t usually a list. This is our homepage / Latest list:

Mobile - effect is more pronounced.

This is due to the toggle taking on the label of the (inappropriately) apparently selected custom top nav link.

Can you share the configuration of the nav links setting? is “Upcoming” linking to a category/tag/something else? when I add a link using the component it seems to work ok…

It might be a problem specific to the #calendar-and-event plugin (which would explain why nobody has complained about it before).

Our config has Upcoming linking to our dedicated Events category, and the other one to our site calendar.

Our use case is attempting to tie together our events list and calendar nicely as the plugin doesn’t really provide that as is.
